IT Security Checklist:

Now, the issue remains that of getting protection from such threats. Firstly, you need to buy good antivirus software from a bunch of them like Symantec Norton, BitDefender, AVG antivirus, Panda Antivirus etc. It is immensely important to purchase a copy rather than having a copy from your friend because your purchase lets you have the update with newest virus definitions. Having an inbuilt Firewall is one of the qualities of such antivirus and this Firewall aids you by monitoring your received and sent data. This is of paramount significance as it stops the outflow of your private information and establish the IT security. Norton Internet Security, Kaspersky, Trend Micro Internet Security, BitDefender, AVG Internet Security are some of the most famous Internet Security programs and they are enriched with things like inbuilt antivirus, antispyware, antitrojan and antibug facilities. Importantly, it is Firewall that lets you be safe from many threats.

Spyware is a software that is created in order to hijack your private information and it is a real threat to your IT security . It is of great concern that it is sometimes possible for your antivirus not to detect a spyware. Even while downloading a software from an unauthorized source like a keygen, a crack version or a torrent file, the spyware creeps into your pc and starts exhibiting some false messages about some problems of your pc. Spyware Doctor can be very helpful here. Otherwise, it starts getting into your registry with each click on the false messages and start disrupting the system.

Remember, do not send any reply to the emails that inquire about any private information - be it bank account numbers or user name and password. Phishing is also a threat as it gives birth to a false site akin to the original one like a bank sites duplicate that grab your user name and password. Internet Explorer 7.0 or Mozilla Firefox installations protect you from such sites. Also, bear in mind to scan any software with Antivirus on the eve of installation.
